Storytime LIVE: El Pájaro Arcoíris by Ramón Caride

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the book El Pájaro Arcoíris by Ramón Caride, illustrated by Raga Garcia. The book will be read in Spanish, with a brief summary in English at the end. El Pájaro Arcoíris, or “The Rainbow Bird,” is a story based on a myth about the creation of colors and the days of the week. The main characters are Xtamosbin who had a dream about the Rainbow Bird, and her husband Cohiztli, who looks for the bird and asks him for seven colored feathers to illuminate their world. Recommended for ages 5+.

El libro se presentará en español con un resumen en inglés al final. El Pájaro Arcoíris está basado en una leyenda acerca de la creación de los colores y los días de la semana. Los personajes son Xtamosbin, una muchacha que sueña con el Pájaro Arcoíris, y Cohiztli, su esposo, que va en busca del pájaro para pedirle siete plumas que iluminarán su mundo. Recomendado para niños mayores de 5 años.
