StoryStage at Washington Irving’s Sunnyside

The region’s most masterful raconteurs will share true tales of adventure and embarrassment, love and joy, achievement and defeat during StoryStage, a special evening of storytelling at Washington Irving’s Sunnyside on Saturday, May 20. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show begins at 8.

Under a grand tent, with the Hudson River and the home of Washington Irving, America’s “Founding Father of Literature,” as a backdrop, the event features an all-star lineup including Moth champions and celebrated authors. Stepping up to the mic will be Matthew Dicks, Moth GrandSLAM Champ and internationally bestselling author; Jamie Brickhouse, critically-acclaimed author of Dangerous When Wet; Tracey Segarra, Moth GrandSlam Champ; Jeff Solomon, Emmy-nominated television writer; and Robin Gelfenbien, comedian and host of the “Yum’s the Word” podcast.

Beer, wine, and savory and sweet pies will be available for purchase.

Seating is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance at hudsonvalley.org. Admission is $25; Historic Hudson Valley members receive a $5 discount. StoryStage is coproduced by Historic Hudson Valley with Pros(e) of Pie, a monthly storytelling series combining true stories and tempting pies.
