Stephen Burt & Craig Morgan Teicher
Stephen Burt and Craig Morgan Teicher will read their poetry and discuss Contemporary American poetry and criticism after their reading. Stephen Burtis a poet, literary critic, and Harvard University professor with eight published books, including two critical books on poetry and three poetry collections. His essay collection Close Calls with Nonsense (Graywolf Press, 2009) was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. The New York Times called Burt “one of the most influential poetry critics of his generation.” Craig Morgan Teicher is a poet, critic, professor, and author of four poetry collections and most recently edited Once and for All: The Best of Delmore Schwartz. His reviews and essays appear widely including NPR.org, Poets & Writers, and Boston Review.
