Steampunk Sunday

Come celebrate all things steampunk, a mashup of science fiction, technology, and design inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. At 12:30pm, Dolly and Birdie of Hudson Valley Steampunk and cosplay costumer Mickey Flint will facilitate Tea Duels, a Steampunk sport of wits, technique, and finesse. Professor Mark Donnelly will immerse visitors in the world of Bartitsu, the Victorian mixed martial art, with a documentary film at 1pm, a Sunday Scholars lecture at 2pm, and a workshop at 3:30pm. From 1–4pm, get in the steampunk spirit with themed face painting from Agostino Arts. Plus, hear and interact with The Eternal Frontier—a time-traveling, musical duo—as they stroll around the Museum.
