Jazz returns to its roots with a vibrant and danceable mix of music of Guinea and Mali with a jazz inflection. Featuring the soudns of Source International African Jazz Band.

SOURCE was founded by Quebecois flutist Sylvain Leroux as an improvisational group with a standard formation of bass, drums, keyboards and winds but was soon transformed into an explorative African Jazz unit when Malian singer Abdoulaye Diabate joined the group. With Matt Pavalka, Bass, Emi Yabuno, (piano, keyboards) and Andy Algire drums. SOURCE delivers a message of human spirit and of individual and collective creativity demonstrating how different cultures can meet and communicate through their personal relationship to music.
