Songbook: Music of America’s Great Songwriters

POUND RIDGE LIBRARY Presents “Songbook – Music of America’s Great Songwriters” with

ANAÏS RENO, voice | PETE MALINVERNI, piano | SAMEER SHANKAR, bass | ERIC HALVORSON, drums

Anaïs Reno is a spectacular new voice on the international Jazz Scene. Her first recording, “Lovesome Thing”, was very well-received and marked her as one to be heard. She was featured on the post-Covid “New York State of Mind” video that included singers like Idina Menzel, Sara Bareilles, Brian Stokes-Mitchell and Stephen Colbert, and she was heard singing “America the Beautiful” on the September 11, 2021 special national broadcast of the Yankees-Mets game that night. She’s appeared at Birdland, Feinstein’s 54 Below, Carnegie Recital Hall and other venues and festivals worldwide.

Catch her now!

Joining Anaïs will be Jazz pianist/composer/educator and Pound Ridge resident Pete Malinverni at the piano, along with up and coming bassist Sameer Shankar and veteran great Eric Halvorson at the drums.

The group will offer a set of songs from the Great American Songbook, featuring music by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Jimmy Van Heusen and others.

This is a special presentation by the Pound Ridge Library, an opportunity to hear world-class music right here in Pound Ridge!
