With five saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets, and a full rhythm section, Something Special guarantees a fabulous big band sound.

Something Special’s top-flight musicians have been featured at many major music and jazz festivals throughout the New York metropolitan area and have performed with great swing bands such as Buddy Rich, Lionel Hampton, and Count Basie. The band plays a variety of big band music from nostalgia to contemporary swing, but is best known for its exciting Basie style, making it one of the finest swing/jazz bands in the New York area.
(In the event of rain, the concert will move indoors to the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library, on a first-come, first-served basis to the capacity of the 138-seat theater, beginning at 6:30 pm.)
