Slapering Hol Press Presents Word Works Press Reading & Panel


Karren Alenier is the author of six collections of poetry, including most recently The Anima of Paul Bowles (MadHat Press, 2017), a “lyric dive” into the work and lives of Paul and Jane Bowles. Mary-Sherman Willis earned an MFA in Poetry from the Warren Wilson Program for Writers. She will read from her translations of Jean Cocteau, Grace Notes: Appogiatures (Word Works, 2017).

 

Nancy White has an MFA from Sarah Lawrence. Her first book, Sun, Moon, Salt, won the Washington Prize for poetry. Tamarack Editions published her second collection of poems, Detour, in 2010. She will read from Ask Again Later, (Tiger Bark Press, 2017). She is editor and president at The Word Works in DC and a professor of English and Creative Writing at SUNY Adirondack.
