Seeing The Light; A Spotlight on Photography Show

In art, we study the subtleties of light and shadow to add depth and substance to our work. But in photography seeing the light takes on different meaning. It’s the quality of light that makes or breaks a photograph, how the photographer uses and directs the light, or the absence of it, to create mood and portray an idea.

In “Lit”, Ruth Raskin creates an up close and personal examination of light bulbs illuminated against a dark background.  As in life, black and white often give way to the inevitable shades of gray.

An Opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
