Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing Workshop

Science fiction and fantasy push the limits of imagination. Like all stories they need engaging plots and unforgettable characters, but success often turns on getting full value from a fresh premise and building engaging and believable worlds. This class will include exercises, exploration of genre short stories, writing, and critiques. The focus will be on the short story – with the intent of producing a completed work by the end of class – but those working on novels, novellas, and poetry are welcome.

6 Tuesdays, 7:00–9:00 p.m., 11/13/2015–2/17/2015
