Satish Joshi “Urbanlights” Artist Talk

Join us at the Blue Door Gallery for an artist talk by Satish Joshi on his exhibt “Urbanlights” on May 10 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.  Satish moved to New York from New Delhi in 1969. He has recently concluded a legendary 37-year teaching career at Riverdale Country School, where he was Head of the Visual Arts Department for twenty-two years as well as Director of Community Arts and Artist-in-Residence. He is currently Artist-Residence at School of the Holy Child in Rye. His paintings, mono-prints and metal and stone sculpture have been widely exhibited. A rich mixture of ideas, technique and philosophies infuse his work in all media, which has been widely exhibited through the United States over the last 35 years.
