SAT., Jan 28: Opening Reception: Rarely Seen Works by Edward Gorey at Rye Arts Center

This Saturday, Rye Arts Center presents the opening reception of its new exhibition, Artists of the Night: Gothic Literature Scenes, Songs and Stories, on view through March 25. The show displays nearly 50 works inspired by Gothic literature, including artworks by Charles Addams, known for his Addams Family characters, and rarely exhibited art by illustrator Edward Gorey. The reception includes original music that will accompany a debut dance performance, a mini gothic dance drama by choreographer Megan Williams, a performance reading by John Kiste of works by Edgar Allan Poe, and more. 5-8pm.
