Sarah Lawrence College Presents: Jerusalem v.s Athens, and us- lecture by Adam Gopnik

Adam Gopnik, staff writer for The New Yorker, will present a lecture “Jerusalem vs. Athens. And Us” at Sarah Lawrence College.  The program grows out of a series of lectures Gopnik organized and hosted for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in coordination with the current exhibit, “Jerusalem 1000-1400: Every People Under Heaven”.

Gopnik is an author of books ranging from essay collections about Paris and food to children’s novels. He has won three National Magazine awards, for essays and for his work as a critic, including the George Polk Award for Magazine Reporting.
