Sarah Lawrence College Friends of the Library Presents: What Difference Does Narrative Structure Make?

The Friends of the Library at Sarah Lawrence College presents a three-part lecture series with Professor Angela Moger on the difference that structure can make in literature. This program is a member’s only event. Membership in the Friends of the Library is available to the public at any time with fees for the 2016-2017 academic year starting at $60/individual.

Part 1: External Breaks

Discussion of Indian Camp by Ernest Hemingway and A Ruse by Guy de Maupassant.

Part 2: Internal Breaks

Discussion of The Sensible Thing by F.Scott Fitzgerald and The Gifts of War by Margaret Drabble.

Part 3: Acceleration/Deceleration

Discussion of Brother Death by Sherwood Anderson and Native Country by Nadine Gordimer.
