Sarah Lawrence College Art of Teaching Film Series: The House on Coco Road by Damani Baker

| |

Join the Art of Teaching Education Film Series for a screening of The House on Coco Road, followed by a conversation with filmmaker and Sarah Lawrence College faculty member Damani Baker.

“Damani Baker offers a moving personal and historical account of how he and his family were caught up in the 1983 U.S. invasion of Grenada. The result is a fascinating and under-reported chapter in the never-ending struggle for justice on behalf of black men and women worldwide, as well as a scalding appraisal of Reagan-era racial attitudes at home and abroad.” — LOS ANGELES TIMES

This screening is part of the Art of Teaching Program’s Educational Film Series. All screenings are open to the public and free of charge. Registration is required: http://bit.ly/2cVdn3V
