This course offers meditation and mindfulness techniques for all age groups. These skills can be learned and incorpo-rated in your daily lives to improve focus, concentration, memory and mental agility. It also benefits those struggling with sleep or eating disorders, stress, anxiety, depression or addiction. Regular practice enhances emotional intelligence – a key success factor for business leadership.
Week 1 (Mar 2): Learning the power of intent, building motivation to practice, and learning about the science behind mindfulness. Practice: Relaxation tech- niques. Learn fundamentals of setting up practice.
Week 2 (Mar 9): The problem with paying attention. Learn how our attention is hijacked and how we can rescue it. What happens if we don’t? Practice: Build- ing focusing and attentional skills
Week 3 (Mar 16): Understanding the build-up of stress and anxiety. How does it happen, and what can we do about it? How can meditation relieve extreme stress? Practice: Stress relieving meditations: body and mind.
Week 4 (Mar 23): The practice of happiness. How can we bring more joy, peace and contentment into our daily lives. Practice: Meditations for positive thinking, gratitude meditation, visualization techniques.
