Rock Guitar History

This year ArtsFest has a guitar-focused music theme: On Saturday, October 18th at 5 pm at the Thomas Paine Memorial Building (983 North Ave., NR; parking on Valley Road) New Rochelle resident John Stix (formerly editor-in-chief of Guitar For The Practicing Musician) will offer a window into guitar history through his personal collection of memorabilia ; John will also share favorite stories from a lifetime of interviews with famous musicians.  Accompanying him will be Westchester’s most renowned guitarist, Grammy-nominated Gil Parris, who will demonstrate some of the signature guitar licks in the history of the electric guitar.
