Clay Art Center is pleased to present Rising Stars: Annual Student Exhibition with Concurrent Youth & Community Arts Exhibitions, celebrating the achievements of our adult students, with concurrent exhibitions from our Youth students, and our Community Arts Program. This exhibition brings together a diverse range of artists who are at many different stages in their journey with clay. It will feature functional and sculptural works, creating a visual presentation of Clay Art Center’s strength & breadth in educational programming. It is a great opportunity to acknowledge the technical skills, creativity and progress of our adult learners, as well as recognizing the achievements and importance of our Community Arts and Youth Programs, which are integral to our mission. In this exhibition, our student body comes together as one, celebrating their hard work and learning through clay!

Please join us for the opening reception on Saturday, January 21st from 1:30-3:30pm to tour our studios and classrooms and learn more about these amazing works created by our talented students. It is also an opportunity to learn more about our adult and youth weekly and one-time classes for anyone who is interested in taking a class. Whether you are new to clay or an experienced potter, we have handbuilding, wheel throwing and special topic classes designed just for you.

The long-term benefit of Rising Stars is to encourage and excite people to become students at CAC and to celebrate and encourage the talents of our current students. All these “emerging artists” have honed their skills and have learned to love clay and become part of the community by virtue of their becoming a student at the Center.

Our incredible teachers have been furthering our mission to ignite a passion for ceramics, and to help foster new artists in the community, by helping artists/students of all levels develop and hone their skills in our classes.
