Juilliard-trained concert pianist and Harvard-educated psychiatrist Dr. Richard Kogan will give a lecture/concert that explores the psychological factors and medical and psychiatric illnesses that influenced the creative output of the great American composer George Gershwin (1898-1937). The program will include performances of Gershwin masterpieces such as Rhapsody in Blue and Porgy and Bess. (pre-lecture light refreshments)
This is one of the Cultural Katonah interdisciplinary programs that showcase Katonah as a cultural destination.
