Remembering Stonewall: Activism & LGBTQ Identity

In the days following the 1969 Stonewall riots, a new kind of LGBTQ liberation movement erupted onto the scene. No longer hiding in the shadows or fearing exposure, some members of the community took a stand to combat discrimination and demand equal rights. Join Christopher Gioia, public historian and creator of stonewallhistory.us, as we trace a path from the events of the early morning hours of June, 28, 1969 to the present and discover what Stonewall meant then and what it means for us today.
