Ralph Irizarry’s Timbalaye

Renowned percussionist Ralph Irizarry delivers his excellent technique on the timbales. His passion for music and timbales goes as far back as his childhood, and ever since, his love for the instrument has drove his career from 1970. Traveling between New York and Puerto Rico, he experienced culture and music and sought his professional career in 1974 once again in New York. After performing with many different Latin based groups, performing for television scores, and touring with artists such as Paul Simon and David Byrne, he created his septet Latin Jazz group Timbalaye in 1996. With their impressive and interesting percussion and lovely group of horns, Ralph Irizarry and Timbalaye deliver incredibly innovative Latin Jazz.
