Printed Matters: an Exhibition of work by D. Dominick Lombardi

Printed Matters  The exhibition will include multimedia paintings created over the past 35 years, with the common thread of collage elements clipped from vintage books, magazines and newspapers.

“Thinking of my earliest days, books, magazines and newspapers have been a consistent source of direction and inspiration. From the moment I saw a reproduction of Picasso’s great anti-war painting Guernica (1937) as a child, to my current use of collage in my paintings and sculptures, that connection to words and images on the printed page, whether I am creating, writing or curating, has been a seamless link to finding and filtering data.”
