In addition to in-class writing, we’ll experiment with different poetry forms and prompt exercises so you can find the style that works for you and discover your voice. Whether your poetry is inspired by legendary poets and their work, traditional or contemporary styles, here is your chance to experience a new way to interpret inspiration and emotion to create literary art. Surprise yourself with what you can achieve. Not a poet? Experience the poetic approaches to writing anyway. Every genre informs other genres, and you can discover new ways to enrich fiction, non-fiction, memoir, etc. through the craft of poetry.
