Math and music are built upon numerical relationships that are variously developed on paper, through space, or in sound. But Playing with Numbers pulls these phenomena together in a fanciful program featuring a musical setting by Robert Xavier Rodriguez (Copland House Resident 2000 and 2011) of the classic children’s book, The Dot and the Line, by famed author Norton Juster, who will be on hand to introduce the work and lead an audience Q&A. Listener favorite Jamie Bernstein will narrate.
