About MAKE SWEET LEMONADE This full 3 1/2 act play surrounds the lives of a loveable cast of mainly African American characters, who are challenged by past situations that make them uncertain about the future, until a prayer causes an unusual event to occur that brings opportunities and change. (Approx. 3 1/2 hrs. w/ intermissions). There are several roles. Is a Non-Equity/Non-Union Play Reading Project (no pay). Participation is voluntary. Is a casual, but serious effort to accomplish a reading of this play. A fun experience and opportunity to participate in the dramatic arts. Enthusiastic and confident readers, with good verbal skills and instincts, vivid imaginations; who can portray character ages, behaviors and learn lines, follow directions are welcomed. Light refreshments will be provided at rehearsal for the cast.
