Outdoor Concert – Banda Nueva York

The BID Music on the Green series continues with another fabulous outdoor concert under the stars and in the heart of downtown New Rochelle. Banda Nueva York, a fifteen-piece band, is bound to delight all ages!

Made up of the finest brass musicians in the city, Banda Nueva York recreates the authentic, powerful sound of the great Bandas of Sinaloa, Mexico through a full instrumentation of trumpets, trombones, clarinets, alto horns, sousaphone, percussion and singers.  The members perform many different styles of music in their professional lives, but an unwavering affection for the music of the deserts, mountains and beaches of North Western Mexico brings them together for this unique ensemble. Banda Nueva York musicians have performed on the world’s great stages including: Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Disney Concert Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Mexico City’s Palacio de Bellas Artes, Auditorio Nacional and elsewhere, with great orchestras such as the NY Philharmonic, LA Phil, Metropolitan Opera, American Symphony and Boston Symphony.
