Outdoor Astro Show: Rainbows, Exoplanets, and Aliens!

|

A humble prism can split light into the colors of a rainbow. Believe it or not, this simple tool has revealed many new mysteries and helped us answer questions about the Universe like: Are there planets around other stars? Yes! Now we’re approaching an answer to one of the biggest mysteries of all: Is there anyone out there?

Join us in the Museum Courtyard as we demonstrate how to use the properties of light to investigate these questions . . . as well as the connection between noisemakers and neutron stars, and other demonstrations on a range of topics—including black holes!

This event will take place in three sessions each Sunday in October from 12:30–1pm, 2–2:30pm, and 3:30–4pm.

Sponsored in part by American Sugar.
