Opera Talk – Verdi’s Aida

|

Verdi’s Aida has everything that makes a grand opera grand, as well as music that defines “sublime.” In the old days, there were those who measured an Aida production by the number and size of the live animals on stage. We will focus on the music, the voices, and the genius of Guiseppe Verdi, who was persuaded to return to composing by a grand occasion and the promise of a big payday. Aida made him the wealthiest composer in the world at the time. Join us on Zoom or in the Children’s Program Room at 2 PM on Saturday, May 31st, when Opera Talk will celebrate one of the grandest operas of them all!
