Open Studio: Pradeep Gupta

Visit artist Pradeep Gupta in the studio of the David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center (DR Center), located on The Pocantico Center campus in Tarrytown, NY.

Pradeep is the DR Center’s visual artist-in-residence for January and February 2024, through a partnership with the Yonkers based Blue Door Art Center, awardees of the Pocantico Center’s 2023 Community Arts Residency.

Pradeep Gupta’s mixed-media artworks are layered bursts of energy inspired by nature’s movement, blending present with past. They capture the essence of nature and light, creating an artistic metaphor: opaque, airy, thick and organic.  Pradeep’s paintings during his residency at the DR Center are inspired by the medieval Japanese art of linear stitching called “Boro”.

Visitors will also be able to visit the DR Center gallery, currently showing Portraits of Process.

All visitors must reserve a free timed-entry ticket prior to visiting.
