Open Classroom Performance: Purchase College Camerata

Under the guidance of noted harpsichordist Bradley Brookshire, The Purchase College Camerata will perform arrangements of classical Baroque music on modern instruments. Brookshire is also a professor of music at Purchase College. He has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Glimmerglass Opera. Noted music critic Anthony Tommasini described his recitals as “maximizing the beguiling qualities of the harpsichord… in imaginative and probing performances.” His recordings of Bach’s French Suites received a New York Times ‘Critic’s Choice’ designation. American Record Guide said “Brookshire’s release of the French Suites is the best on the market I’ve heard – ever.” This concert is free with museum admission.
