Cellist Miho Zaitsu makes her Downtown Music debut with a performance of music by Debussy, Faure, Beethoven and Vaughan Williams. “Full of Herculean power” (Time Out), Zaitsu excites audiences with her thought-provoking performances throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Recent concerts have included her Carnegie Weill Hall debut and the premiere of Robert Moran’s Trinity Requiem for children’s chorus, four violoncelli and harp, presented on radio stations around the world as part of the 9/11 anniversary observance at Trinity Church in New York.
Zaitsu is joined at the piano by Arielle Levioff who has appeared as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and Alice Tully Hall.
