Nonnas Watch Party

Watch and discuss the Netflix movie Nonnas. Based on a true story, Nonnas tells the story of a man risking everything to honor his late mother by opening an Italian restaurant with actual grandmothers as the chefs and is inspired by the real-life Italian restaurant Enoteca Maria, located in Staten Island, New York, where Italian grandmothers, or “nonnas,” cook regional dishes.

After the film, we will discuss the joys of connecting generations, and overcoming loneliness, as well as celebrating immigration stories through food

This watch party is being offered by the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services who have partnered with the film’s production company.
