THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS ON MAN-IN-THE-MOON MARIGOLDS
Directed by Elizabeth Van Dyke
The Schoolhouse Theater, Croton Falls, NY
Winner of the 1971 Pulitzer Prize, the Obie Award and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award as Best American Play of the season.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

JANICE: Female, age 16+ (must look 14-18) Tillie’s rival at the science fair.
NANNY: Female, age 60+. An elderly woman with dementia; non-speaking role.

AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY FOR NON-EQUITY ACTORS

LOCATION: The Schoolhouse Theater, 3 Owens Road, Croton Falls, NY 10519

Actors should prepare a short monologue (under one minute long) or read from sides provided.

Janice: Saturday, February 14th 10am-12pm
Nanny: Saturday, February 14th 1-3pm
Possible Callbacks Sunday February 15th

The Schoolhouse Theater is committed to non-traditional casting and encourages actors of all backgrounds to audition.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:

Possible rehearsals in NYC or Croton Falls between February 16-27. (Janice and Nanny will not be called every day during this time. Schedule TBD. Round-trip train fare will be provided to NYC.)

Rehearsals at the Schoolhouse Theater in Croton Falls begin February 28. Janice and Nanny must be available for all rehearsals. (Schedule TBD) Actors must provide their own transportation.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:

First Performance March 6th, Last Performance March 29th.
All Performances Run Fri. & Sat. At 8 P.M. and Sat. & Sun. at 3 P.M.
