New Rochelle Plays Hollywood: Love with the Proper Stranger

New Rochelle Plays Hollywood is a new film series presented by the New Rochelle Public Library. Prior to the screening, film aficionado Les Srager will introduce the history of the film and its creative personnel with a discussion period following the screening. The fall series will feature films of New York. 

Love With the Proper Stranger (1963) Starring Natalie Wood, Steve McQueen and Tom Bosley.  Directed by Robert Mulligan (102 min.)

This film is an excellent example of a fine director knowing his magnetic stars and just letting them do their thing. A love story, a comedy, and a rumination on love, marriage and family all in one film. Nominated for five Academy Awards including best actress and best original screenplay.
