Spectacular cinematography by James Wong Howe and an intense performance by Garfield leading to a best actor Academy Award nomination. Nominated for two other Academy Awards; winner of one.
New Rochelle Plays Hollywood is a film series presented by the New Rochelle Public Library. Prior to the screening, film aficionado Les Srager will introduce the history of the film and its creative personnel with a discussion period following the screening. The fall series features films that are little-known, but well worth watching – “Hidden Gems”
