Marc Taylor, Manager of Planetarium and Science Programs, discusses select works of art in The Color of the Moon from a scientific perspective, focusing on their connections to NASA’s art programs.

“The Color of the Moon: Lunar Painting in American Art ” which features more than 60 works of art, highlighting key painters who depicted the moon, from the early nineteenth century to the late 1960s, featuring works by artists like Thomas Cole, Jasper Francis Cropsey, Arthur Dove, Childe Hassam, Winslow Homer, George Inness, Roy Lichtenstein, Norman Rockwell, Edward Steichen, Jamie Wyeth, and Marguerite Zorach. #HRMMoon #ColorOfTheMoon
