Musical Treasures at Hoff-Barthelson Music School

An evening of seldom heard and familiar works performed by HBMS Faculty

Rachmaninov’s masterful Waltz and Romance for Six Hands featured work

Members of Hoff-Barthelson Music School’s Faculty perform an eclectic mix of works for multiple pianos, voice, cello and chamber ensembles in “Musical Treasures,” on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 7:30 pm. The concert, the second of four presentations on the 2017-2018 Faculty Concert Series, takes place in the School’s Behrens Bergman Auditorium, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale.

Audience members will be treated to performances by Laura Green, voice; Hélène Jeanney, piano; Gary Kosloski, violin; Benita Meshulam, piano; Gerald Robbins, piano; Eleonora Rotshteyn, piano; and Peter Seidenberg, cello.

Included on the program are Bolcom’s Garden of Eden, (Four Rags for Piano); Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock, D. 965; Mozart’s Sonata for Four Hands in D major, K. 381; Poulenc’s Cello Sonata, PF 143; Ravel’s Piano Trio in A minor; and the pièce de résistance, Rachmaninov’s rarely heard Waltz and Romance for Six Hands in A Major.

Admission to the concert is $20, $15 for seniors (65+) and free of charge for students. Tickets can be reserved by calling 914-723-1169, or e-mailing hb@hbms.org.
