Musical Journeys: Culminating Performance

|

Join composer and pianist Daniel Kelly and guitarist Jesse Lewis for a special duo performance, including original compositions and musical improvisations inspired by works of art in Cycles of Nature and artwork created in workshops led by Kelly.

Teaching Artist-in-Residence Daniel Kelly created interactive workshops that enabled families and adults to explore and express their emotions as they experienced the power of music to deepen the appreciation and understanding of works of art. Kelly has been called a “stunningly original” artist with “a visionary imagination,” and his music has been declared “powerfully moving” (Time Out New York). The versatile New York–based guitarist Jesse Lewis has been hailed as “an articulate ace” and “scorching guitarist” (The New York Times) and a “poet of the steel string” (Stereophile Magazine) in the worlds of jazz, pop, and electronica.
