Music That Transcends Time: Pärt, Schubert & Dvořák
The Hudson Valley Singers perform two choral masterpieces contrasted with a beloved chamber music piece in a concert that transcends time. The program begins with Arvo Pärt’s ethereal Salve Regina of 2001, segues to Franz Schubert’s delightful “Trout Quintet” of 1819 for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass, and culminates in the hauntingly beautiful Mass in D major of Antonín Dvořák from 1887.
