Music on the Green: The Kootz

Gather up friends, family, and a picnic – and settle in on Library Green for great music, good times, and summer breezes.  The popular BID Music on the Green concerts have something for everyone, of all ages, right in the heart of downtown New Rochelle!

To kick-off the 2014 season, The Kootz will rock Library Green! This group of “Jersey guys” started in the 90’s as a jamming group, and then morphed into the current performers of classic rock, pop, soul and blues.  Covering the spectrum – Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, Otis Redding, Jackson Browne, Grateful Dead, and many more –  this band puts together favorite rock songs with their own distinctive sound and collective passion. They play over 250 shows a year all over New Jersey and the tri-state area, in rock clubs, resorts, biker bars, bistros, coffee houses – and we’re thrilled to welcome them to New Rochelle.  

(In the event of rain, the concert moves indoors to the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library, on a first-come, first-served basis to the capacity of the 138-seat theater, beginning at 6:45 pm.)
