Music at Asbury presents Collective Brass

Asbury-Crestwood United Methodist Church is delighted to welcome Collective Brass for the fourth annual Veterans Day concert of its professional concert series, Music at Asbury. Collective Brass will perform a program titled “Beautiful, Bright, and Fast” featuring works from the Middle Ages to today, including music originally written for brass as well as transcriptions of piano and vocal music, selections from West Side Story and patriotic selections in honor of Veterans Day.

Founded in 2016, Collective Brass is a Hudson Valley-based brass quintet that performs a broad range of exciting and virtuosic music.  Members of the quintet have trained at the most prestigious music schools and conservatories in the country and now hold positions in many of the country’s finest performing ensembles, including the West Point Concert Band. In addition to performing traditional and contemporary brass chamber music, Collective Brass continues to create original arrangements and editions of early music for brass –much of which was recently recorded on the acclaimed album, In Thy Sweet Name.

“Collective Brass is well on its way to becoming a reputable ensemble in the brass world.”
