More Than Music Concert: BIRDSONG
“BIRDSONG” PRESENTED ON APRIL 24 AT 4PM AS PART OF THE CONCORDIA CONSERVATORY’S MORE THAN MUSIC CONCERTS
Concordia Conservatory presents the More Than Music concert on Sunday, April 24 at 4:00 pm. The program, entitled Birdsong will be performed by Concordia Conservatory faculty Monica Bauchwitz and Emanouil Manolov, violin, Chungsun Kim, cello, and Marija Ilić, piano, and features music by Dvorak, Rameau, Biber, Mozart, Casals, and Fanny Dillon. The concert will take place at the home of Laurie and Hoke Slaughter, 2 Elm Rock Road, Bronxville.
Birdsong has been an inspiration for composers throughout the centuries. This concert/lecture is a celebration of birds, nature, and life exploring our global climate crisis and how to protect the planet and natural life – through chamber music.
