Monterey Jazz Festival’s Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, Directed by Paul Contos

These phenomenal high school students play jazz and big band pieces with incredible finesse and style. Performing every year at the Monterey Jazz Festival in California, the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra is now coming to Westchester. Paul Contos conducts this young group with experience and talent. He has been involved in jazz performance and education for over 40 years, teaching at the University of California, Santa Cruz and California State University, Monterey Bay. Both his professionalism and the students’ musical virtuosity combine to create a powerful ensemble capable of delivering excellent performances over and over again.
