Penelope Taylor Discusses “Compelling Composition”

Another wonderful  presentation By CCCW. Come visit us in Tarrytown.

A different approach to learning composition will be introduced in Penelope’s Compelling Composition lecture. Studying other photographer’s work is important to evolve our own images, as well as learning all “The Rules of Good Composition.” In this lecture, we will look back in time to the work of master painters for how they used composition, for they were the photographers of their time. Penelope’s work will be presented side-by-side to paintings you find in museums today.

Penelope Taylor is a New Jersey-based photographic landscape artist. Her father introduced Penelope to single-lens reflex film cameras in her early teens. Her passion is traveling throughout the United States and Canada to capture her favorite subject — landscape. In 2015, she began to exclusively produce work using Nikon digital cameras that are converted for infrared photography. In 2017, Penelope began to offer infrared-specific landscape photo workshops where she teaches capture and black-and-white processing techniques. She is available for group lectures and one-to-one instruction (in person or via the internet).
