MELANGE: PAINTINGS BY NORMA FOEGE

Norma’s passion for painting is reflected in her vivid landscapes, still lifes, and portraits.

After 35 years, she retired from teaching to devote more time to painting and music. She received her Masters in Studio Art from the College of New Rochelle, and her Master of Science degree in Education from Brooklyn College. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College. She lived in Paris, France for two years where she studied oil painting and exhibited at the Salon des Independents in the Grand Palais. She began painting as a child at the Brooklyn Museum where Moses Soyer was her instructor. She continued her studies at Pratt, NYU, Hunter, City College, Art Students League, Silvermine and Rye Art Center. She has exhibited extensively.
