Master Class in Nonfiction with Diana Goetsch (via Zoom)


This master class will focus on three essential aspects of nonfiction writing (which are seldom talked about in combination), presented clearly and dynamically by a renowned teacher. There will be models, analysis and discussion. There will be Q&A, practices to try on your own, and reading recommendations. Maybe you’re thinking of getting serious about your writing, or you’re serious writer looking for a fresh approach, or a fiction writer or poet interested in attempting nonfiction. This class is perfect for all levels.

NB: This class will be taught on Zoom and capped at 20. Link will be sent to email you use to register at the time of registration and again the day before the class. Scholarship information will be available for this class on November 15th and applications are due on December 15, 2022.

Diana Goetsch is the author of the acclaimed memoir This Body I Wore (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2022), numerous features and columns, and eight collections of poems. Her writing has appeared in leading journals, anthologies and newspapers including The New Yorker, Gettysburg Review, LitHub, Tricycle, The American Scholar, the L.A. Times, the Chicago Tribune, and the Pushcart Prize. Her honors include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Grace Paley Teaching Fellowship at The New School, and the Donald Murray prize for writing pedagogy.
