Mandala Illumination Writers Workshop with Karen Finley via Zoom

Writing from the Mandala

A mandala is a circular composition of symbols, images and shapes. Mandala in Sanskrit means circle.  In our workshop we will create our own mandala either with images or words and let our circle speak back to us for inspiration. We will have a series of prompts, meditations for us to further encourage our writing practice. We will focus with contemplation to uncover and apply symbolic meaning, and offer artistic awakening with our creative practice. Our writing encounter will weave inward and outward connecting to a collective unconscious spirit for activating the imagination. We will discover a deeper intuitive context and identify symbolic guides especially needed during these times of the pandemic. Identifying nature, colorful hues, geometry, or imaginary beings will show up in story and poetic form.  Now moving forward to spring, we begin to declare new signs of blooming, growth, hope and joy. Please join us for an illuminating workshop to inspire our creative process.

NB: This class will be capped at 15 students. Scholarship applications are due on February 15th. Please read the course policies page before signing up for any of our workshops.

This 3.5hour class will be taught via Zoom. The link will be sent at the time of registration (please check spam filters) and again in the day before class. Please email admin@writerscenter.org with any questions.
