Mamaroneck Artists Guild presents “Navigating the Surface”

The Mamroneck Artists Guild presents Navigating the Surface; a group show focusing on the surfaces artists choose to use in their work that contribute to the uniqueness and individuality of each artist.

Artists use materials that explore their sense of communication and feelings. The surfaces they choose to work on, or utilize, such as canvas, wood, paper, aluminum,  etc. can determine how the artist approaches their work.

What is apparent, on a casual view or consideration, is not immediately obvious to the viewer.  In this exhibit, artists have used a surface and materials of their choice to work on. Whether it is in oils, pastel, collage, watercolor, photography, ceramics, metal, or encaustic (wax) each has created their own unique quality.
