Lyndhurst’s Spring Blossoms Flower Show

The Spring Blossoms flower show is a rare opportunity for visitors to experience Lyndhurst filled with sumptuous flower arrangements and to walk through the house at their own pace without a guided tour. The Flower Show has quickly become a spring tradition at Lyndhurst because it recreates the opulent days of the Gilded Age, when the mansion was decorated with flowers from the estate gardens and greenhouse. To assemble this wonderland of color and fragrance, each floral designer handcrafts a display to highlight and harmonize with the sumptuous interiors of the historic mansion.

PREVIEW PARTY
APRIL 6, 6:30 PM

The show kicks off with a special Preview Party on Friday evening, April 6th, hosted by the Garden Club of Irvington-on-Hudson. Enjoy drinks, hors-d’oeuvres, and entertainment while you get the first look at the wonderland of flowers throughout the mansion. Talk with the floral designers about their signature styles, inspiration, and techniques. Proceeds from the Preview Party will benefit the restoration of historic fountains and perennials in the Rose Garden.

FLOWER SHOW
APRIL 7-8, 10 AM TO 5 PM

A rare chance to walk through the mansion at your own pace and enter a wonderland of fragrance and color handcrafted by premiere area florists. The Spring Blossoms Flower Show will be held April 7th and 8th, 2018 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Visitors can stroll through the mansion’s opulent rooms at their own pace and see the floral displays in full bloom without a guided tour of the mansion. General admission tickets to the show are $18 per person. No guided tours.

HIGH TEA IN THE COTTAGE
APRIL 7-8, TIMED SEATINGS

Join us for tea in the Guest Cottage, a charming, intimate space adjacent to the mansion. The room will be decorated with flowers, fine china, and silver teapots from Seasons on the Hudson. You will be greeted with a glass of sparkling wine, generously donated by My Sherry & More. The menu will include tea sandwiches, canapés, dessert and Teagevity tea, courtesy of Saint George Bistro. Guests will take home a lovely individual arrangement by Seasons.  Proceeds benefit the restoration of the Lyndhurst Rose Garden.
