Lunar New Year Festival

Kick off the Year of the Rat with traditional Asian arts, crafts, and demonstrations! The afternoon begins with a Lion Dance and continues with a communal art workshop led by Teaching Artist-in-Residence Jia Sung. Members of the Evergreen Club from the Theodore Young Community Center in Greenburgh will demonstrate calligraphy and teach origami. Visitors of all ages can enjoy a Tai Chi workshop, and following a Chinese Folk Dance performance, the public will be invited to participate. A Chinese dulcimer concert by award-winning artist Ariane Kuo and live Balinese dance and Gamelan Gender Wayang music by Dharma Swara round out the afternoon’s program.
